Bargain Carpets & Floors can provide you with a truly one of a kind accent for any room. Design your own area rug. From a simple 2-color bordered rug to sculpted geometric shapes in bold colors, if you can draw it, our people can make it.
In general this is a four-step process:
- You start with an idea and get the size and pattern down on a piece of graph paper, so it will be to scale.
- Next, you must come in to our showroom and choose the type and color of carpet you want the rug to be made of as well as the type of binding you would like.
- At this point, we will take the drawing and carpet selections and provide you with a proposal for the cost of the rug.
- Finally, we will order all materials and construct the area rug to your specifications.
Sometimes this process can take up to six weeks to complete depending on the complexity of the design and availability of the material. In the end, you will have a truly unique rug that fits perfectly with your room and at a cost that is usually less than a pre-made ornamental rug.
Please print out the graph below to get you started. We recommend that you use each square as a six-inch section (three-inch sections allow for even more detail) so you will have as much room as you need to get the details you want. Then get an idea of color. You may use map pencils or crayons to add this to your drawing. Lastly you need an idea of texture. Do you want loops, tall shag, or basic plush? Then bring all this to us and we'll do the rest.
We also carry in stock the two most popular colors for conventions and parties: convention red and basic black. These can be turned into runners or rugs in most cases in less than 7 days. Contact us for more information.
